Nose
Concentrated black currant syrup with hints of dried cranberries and raspberries. Thick oozing molasses and prunes stewed in nutmeg and pimento spices
Palate
Up front hits like a huge tidal wave of dark fruits – raisins, sultanas and plums breaching into the mid palate of thick and chewy brown sugar syrups that stick to your palate like oil. Then towards the finish comes soft and gentle baking spices- hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and gentle flashes of sweet French baked goods. with a very long, oily and chewy.
Finish
A very memorable dram finish.
