This new Highwayman whisky batch release is, without a doubt, the most adventurous and daring cask maturation to date!
This whisky is firstly matured in a first fill Pedro Ximinez sherry cask before being transferred to a Mexican tequila cask for a second maturation.
The name ‘Jalisco to Jerez’ refers to the sherry making region in Spain and the Tequila making region in Mexico, proving that there is nowhere that Dan won’t go to explore and create new flavours!
Bottled unfiltered and at a cask strength of 55% this batch yielded 160 bottles and is an exceptional example of a truly unique Highwayman….
