This beautiful whisky is the marriage of two cask from two different distilleries making it a pure malt whisky to die for! The Highwayman component is a medium peated spirit aged in a first fill fino sherry cask which is then married with a single cask aged in a rye whiskey barrel from Kinglake distillery. The whisky was married together in a vat where it was left to mellow and settle for a number of months before being bottled unfiltered and at a cask strength of 55% yielding 160 bottles. This idea was spawned by Sam, Chantal and Dan from the view point of creating something unique and truly special – a marriage of two casks for Valentine’s Day for lovers… of whisky!
